Happy May
Well, it's finally May! After a very cold late April, things are starting to warm up here. Everything is beautiful and green, the flowering trees and shrubs are beautiful.
We starting planting in the garden today. I think this is the earliest we've ever planted. Last year our first planting was May 11th. I weeded out my herb garden and, with the help of a very healthy earthworm the size of a baby snake, the soil is loose and ready for planting. Though it's a little early to plant herbs yet, I did plant lettuce, spinach, sugar peas, and two kinds of onions; Utah Sweet and Vidalias. We bought potatoes, but didn't get them in the ground today. Maybe sometime next week.
Only 4 weeks till our next vacation, when we'll travel out west again to that magical, inspiring wonderland called Yellowstone!!!
Happy May!!!
